Network Services, Help, Installs, Upgrades

We specialize in Wireless Networking

Network Services/Installs/Help/Upgrades - Do you have more than one computer?  Do you have a printer for every computer?   Are the files you need always on another computer?  Do you think having a network is too expensive?  Do you think installing a network means drilling holes in walls, running a lot of wires, and you will not be able to recoup your expenses if you ever move?

There is a better way.

Wireless technology has been applied to Local Area Networking for some time now.  The original obstacles have been eliminated, the security, reliability and range improved (from around 150 feet to 25 miles)! No holes need be drilled, no wires run, just plug it in and set it up.  When you move, take it with you.

With networking installed, you can share files, printers, and use a single Internet connection for all of the computers.

We can install a wireless network to fit your current needs and still allow for expansion when you grow.  Because wireless manufacturers have adopted a common standard, components from several manufacturers work together.

Current Wireless Networking speeds are 54 MBps (IEEE 802.11g specification) and a doubling feature that allows 108 Mbps.*  The 54 Mbps followed the widely deployed 11 Mbps (IEEE 802.11g specification)*  Of all the enterprise level wired networks, the majority is still 10Mbps even though 10-100Mbps cards are the most common found on end-user store shelves.  This means that Wireless Networking is already faster than the corporate average at 11 Mbps, and the 54 Mbps and 108 Mbps cards are making wired networks outdated.

Internet access: For the money, we recommend a high speed connection using new technology such as DSL, Wireless Internet, or Cable Modem instead of the dial up methods.  Wireless Internet, the newest player to the field of broadband is reaching 1.5 MBps currently (in the field).  In theory, DSL can reach speeds of 3 Mbps, and Cable modems can reach 10Mbps; compare that to 56k for a dial-up modem.  Keep in mind that generally speaking, neither live up to the full potential, except in the most ideal conditions.  Even though the theory says these methods can attain these speeds, in reality, most are getting way less than the maximum.  That means if you have dial up modem access, you may only be getting 25-45k, where cable modems typically get 3 Mbps.  Regardless, expect 50 to 100 times faster access with a cable modem over what dial-up can provide.  Cost for DSL or Cable is obviously slightly more than dial-up but not 100 times as much, or even 10 time as much.  Typically expect to pay double for cable access.  Most companies have promotions that allow a free month's service for referrals so you can actually get cable for free if you can find at least 12 people per year.  You will appreciate the improved performance, and will never go back to dialup.  The frustration of using the Internet is eliminated.  We can even install a firewall to protect you from the prying eyes of the outside world.

Imagine having e-mail in-house between PCs, no more handwritten "While You Were Out..." message pads.
